Use the Kyosho 2d clutch with 4 flyweights. Use the spring and shoe that comes with it. Very little gap or endplay. Compress the spring 1.3mm beyond the flywheel nut.

Thanks...
Where can I buy or get the 2D clutch with 4 flyweights?
How do you like the Red Dot motor or IDM?

You can't buy it with 4 flyweights. You buy the 2d clutch and a package of flyweights (make sure it is the 2d/4d flyweights).

I have never run the Red Dot, but the IDM is pretty impressive. Very fast engine and about 45-60 seconds more runtime. I don't know how they do it, but they do.

Exclamation Rear Foam Tires

Need help regarding what other brand of foam tires with 2mm offset for the rear I can purchase besides the Kyosho ones.

I know the Kyosho ones are very good set of foams except for the wheel part...they tend to break easily especially in the front.

Thanks to anyone who can help/reply.

Just get yoursefl a set of 2mm hexes, they are 2 mm wider, that way you can use regular wheels.

Wow 45-60 more run time..sound great to me..what IDM did you get and who sell them?
Question : does Kyosho make them or after market brands?
What does the 2d and 4D stand for? (pin number on the flywheel)?

You can try using the Kawahara Foam tires... They are very good also. You can also try using the Kawahara wide hex hubs so that you can use Omm offset rear tires...

You can also get the replacement CVDs from Kyosho that have the additional offset.

IDM EVO 3. contact www.teamxspower.com They are the importer and will be able to tell you where to find the engine. I was truly amazed at the runtime this engine had. This is not a Kyosho engine. The 2d and 4d clutch both have 4 pins, but the 2d and 4d use some different parts. They are both made by Kyosho.

The bottom end was so strong I had to change from the 2d to the 3d clutch, and then put a different spring in. I wanted to add set screws to the flyweights, but didn't have any that fit properly.

This was using the IDM 2607 pipe and manifold set.
