Hey, do any of you guys use the mugen starterbox?
If you do...any way you could snap a pic so I know where to put the pegs, or to get a close idea.

Default Clutch problem

Half way through my last race the car stopped all of a sudden and was going forward VERY slowly, then it kicked in again for half a lap then stopped again. While in the pits and having the car off the ground the wheels engaged without any issues, held the car on the ground and gave it throttle and it also engaged. Put it back on the track and it died again.

I pulled apart my clutch and found no major issues. My setup is below:
- 1mm of shims just before the inner bearing??? of the clutch bell so the clutch bell spins nicely for 5-6 seconds (step 43 on RRR WCE manual, before putting on bearing 178)
- 0.5mm of shims onto the Bell Guild Washer (part 143) just before the cap screw goes on (step 43, shims 146, 147)

I tried to follow Josh Cyruls clutch tuning but could not work out which parts he was talking about, which parts in the manual (steps 42 and 43) are
- inner bearing
- outer bearing
- thrust assembly, thrust retainer

He mentions gap and endplay. gap of .35mm - .50mm is OK and agressive feel is .55mm - .70mm. Is this the gap when tightening the clutch spring adjuster? But its mentioned in step 6 you adjust this by adding shims to the outside of the thrust assembly but in step 42 of the manual it says the gap on the spring should be 1.2mm. So which do you adjust, the shims or the tention of the spring?

In Josh Cyruls's step 7, if you adjust the clutch bell endplay from .1mm - .2mm to .2mm - .4mm, how does this effect the aggressiveness?? its allowing the clutch bell to move left to right more. Would the more end play effect how much of the pinion gears come in contact with the spur gears?? The less contact the worse??

So... can someone explain Josh Cyrul's instructions using the parts in the RRR WCE manual?? Also, what could have been wrong with my clutch as everything seemed OK.

Default clutch setups

3 things to remember and not to be confused ( sometimes i also got mix up)

1. clutch gap
2. end play
3. preload spring

but for me there is no end play coz i don't use shims in the inside bearing, just set the preload spring , clutch gap and its done.
