thanks drfritz but i already have the 3racing brace and i know about the Kyosho sway bar.The difference is that the brace from Kawahara is made from carbon and the sway bar seems stronger and better to my eyes than the kyosho one.Is there any place to buy Kawahara products on line?

Hello

I am planning to get a new engine for my v-one 3r soon and I have a questions for you guys to answer. Do you guys usually go with the collet that comes with the kit or the collet that comes with the engine. Why the collet that comes with engine/kit? What do you guys think about the Kfactory's UFO centax clutch?

Thanks

i think i just used the collet that came with my TZ when i ran it... have never tryed the ufo clutch, nothing wrong with the kyosho 3d clutch that comes in the kit.

Default Stripped second Gear!!!

I have now stripped 2 2nd gears (55T). People have told me that a lot of people are having the same issue but other people say they havent had the issue at all. The 1st gear has survived both times

Im new to the track so I have come off however its off onto grass (not into a wall!!), they havent seemed to be big crashes.

The meshing is done well, when I grab the spur and pinions and move them there is a very slight play.

Any ideas?

Default 2 gear spur stripping

After playing around and checking everything on my car( after having gone through about 5 2nd gear spurs) I took a closer look at how the pinion/spur meshed all 360 deg around a new spur. Any irregularities y would mark w a sharpie on the tooth I felt wasn't smooth at a point. When I checked the marks on the pinion after having pulled it from the clutch bell, I found the worn pinion seemed to be causing my prob. I use alu pinions but now have placed an orde for some steel ones. Anyway, I placed a fresh one on, now the mesh is smooth all around. Thinking that this mostlikely is the prob, but have to test it to be sure.

also, dont forget to set your throttle endpoint adjustment... if it over extends the motor will move forward on full throttle setting.

I have brand new steel pinions. I will check the mesh all the way around rather than one spot. Its going to be a slow task!!!

At first the rear of my chassis was lifting up (moving the motor forward) but after adjusting it the motor opens to full throttle without the chassis moving.

The one that come with the car. I do not know though what happens with the TZ. I 've seen many post about that.
I would also recommend the 2D clutch. It makes the acceleration very linear. If you use it just be careful with the settings. They require accuracy.

The real question is: Where did you get those pics and do you have pictures of the other Kawahara options for the Triple R?

We normaly use the CRF clutch, but the Kyosho-clutch witch is in the Kit, is also nice with some preparations...
