Exactly what I did today. Worked fine and didn't come loose today (after it dried up, stupid rain )

The screw was fine, the shaft was fine (the screw can be torqued down and doesn't feel loose fitting or seem to not thread properly). A little lock tite as robert said. worked 100%.

The size of the track is a good size track (don't know the exact dimensions).

Thanks Ivan for the warm welcome.
The engine will cost almost as much as the kit...that's a given for a quality engine. However, the exception is... JLR Picco Red Dot. Check this thing out...it's under $200 and has power to keep up with a sirio, OS TZ etc. Just remember, an engine is only as good as how it's tuned and maintained. Take my JP Modified Mugen X12, it has crazy amounts of power but I had trouble tuning it and made it crawl like it was dead. Tune it right and it wakes up and takes off like nobody's business. Any quality race engine will function quite the same.

Question about clutches. There's the standard 3D clutch, 4D clutch(i think?), and a 2D clutch. Also KFactory makes the UFO clutch for the V1RRR. So what one is the best setup and why? Or even better, what are the major differences between them? If anyone knows I'd appreciate some extra info. Thanks.

the difference is the number of weights inside. the 2d seems to have the most snap if you have high traction

So the 2D would be faster acceleration you're saying?

What is the deal with the UFO clutch anyway? The only thing I can see is that it's a standard 3D clutch that is on a guide so that each shoe will engage at the same rate.

Is it worth switching? I've never seen a review of the different clutch systems.

UFO the clutch spring is way to soft than the stock RRR spring highly recommend going from the red spring to the black if you use the UFO

2D Clutch versus 3D
2D Red shoe softer compound than Grey
2D flywheel is 4 pins not anodized blue & can become a 4D by adding more flyweights 3D flywheel has 3 pins & is anodized blue
2D clutch spring is the same as 3D
settings that were used & recommended by the team for the 2D .3 endplay .3 spring tension no drag on bell to shoe freespin
as for the difference in feel depends on what motor you are using.
IMO with the 2D motor spooled up faster & shifting was smoother I ran it twice & will post more feedback after a couple of more races
