what i have learnt so far is that the front system is toooo sensitive in droop adjastments, so try to reduce as little as <5'sec' every time.

Hi everyone,

I know technically speaking it not an RRR, but i spend most of my time reading these pages and no one around here seems to have an old "single R" v one anymore, but if had mine for a bit now and keep doing little bits to as and when, looks a hell of a lot better than when i first bought it...i realise handling may not not be a sweet as the RRR, but it near looks like one as most upgrades have been put on over the years.

I've only had it about 5 months, but in that time i've fully stripped it and re-built with:
kyosho's 3.5mm Chassis
3 Racing Carbon upper Deck
LRP Z.12R Engine
Sage 6mm outlaw pipe
Lola Body mount kit with GTP body
Stainless Hex Screw all round

I've only just got the pipe from ebay the other day and just fitted it, so don't know how it runs yet, but the quality's amazing, a nice touch with the re-inforced stinger...it was only 18 GPB so grabbed it while i could, any one ever head of them? just looks like a re-badged THS one, soon see when i take it out tommorrow.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi, and show you my car, hopefully next year i'll have saved up enough cash for a real RRR.

I put together an Excel based setup sheet for the RRR if anyone is interested here it is. You will need to open up the zip file to access the Excel. I found that this works better for me and allows me to easily compare setups.

I once has this problem, I used a drill bead with the same mm of the screw and carefully drill over to remove the 'head' of the screw and it came off. Then i replace it with a new set of rivet with capping.

However try not to remove the engine mount unecessary else you might 'screw' up the thread of the engine mount and you have to buy a new one to replace. Add some threadlock on the threads of the new screws as it will provide better grip and withstand the vibration.

Hope it helps

Careful wif the stinger area, its rather soft, I'm using it and once has a light bang on it and its dented. However, performance so far still good. Enjoy

Glad you like it, wasn't sure if it was any good, as couldn't find an ounce of info on the pipe, but for that price, just bought it anyway.......pity about the stinger though, obviously bracing it "too" well, and transfering force through pipe...ah well, looks neat though!

Cheers.
