you are absolutley correct.....you need to readjust the 2speed cam.....until you find the gears spin freely in both directions......

NO......You see the part that the 2nd gear part #150 slids over this is the the 2peed this has a setscrew on it...the set screw sits on the flat part of the 2 speed shaft ......when you have it all assembled ...put the gears back on it have it all complete..... then take a 2mm hex driver and loosen the set screw on the 2 speed cam then you can slide it and feel the gears loosen up once it feels correct tighten the setcrew back down making sure its on the flat spot ....hope this helps.

if adjusting the cam is not enough, try put a thin washer behind 158. the O.D. of the washer need to be smaller than the O.D. of the steel sleeve (157) so it won't interfere with the rotation of the one way bearing. and the thickness of the washer need to be right too so the first gear won't move up and down the shaft too much.

Hi guys,

What u guys suggest is that I realign the red portion? Btw which area is the bulkhead? Actually I'm still confuse between the 2 spur gears. Which is the first gear which is the 2nd gear?

1st gear is the larger spur gear, 2nd gear is the smaller spur

Yes that is right, move 2 speed cam further down the shaft, the bulkhead is the plastic bit everything screws into i.e. brake lever, shock tower etc.. and shaft goes through.

undo grub screw on 2 speedcam and move it closer towards car a bit and tighten again, making sure it is still tightening on flat spot of shaft of course.

1st gear is on the outside of car and 2nd is on inside, or 1st being bigger on spurs and 1st being smaller on pinions.

I recently picked up a barley used V-One RRR from a guy, I have taken it apart to reassemble it according to the instruction manual. I am going to put a diff in the front when I put is back together also. I belive I have all the parts to do it except the the pulley set to change the front drive pulley which is on it's way from Kyosho. My question is will I be able to use the same front belt as before? I did'nt know if it would be the same becase the diff pulley gear is bigger and the drive pulley will be smaller right? Thanks guys

same belt dude...

also same pulley as whats on the oneway, just without the side clipped onto it, cause it uses the side of the front diff for that.

cheers.
