It was nice to finally meet you. See you at the next one.

Yea Jamie I agree with you I sriously doubt someone running 5 ports...they would only be cheating themselves....anyways it was cool meeting you..I see your gonna make to kissimmee ..sweet....its gonna be a blast...hey by the way congratz you had a great run.

BTW Robert, good run at the GLC!!!

For my personal driving, I brake real hard and late even with a 1-way, so I can't say there is massive advantage for me there if I use a diff/spool. But I can tell you by experience... I ran front diff Q1 & 2 at the last 2 day and then switched to a 1-way, car looked completely out of control because my brakes were way too much and I didn't practice with the 1-way... even my pit guy was saying that car looked like a handful to drive.... and I'll agree. However I was 4 secs faster then my TQ with a diff, even with the car looked like a handful. Once I got my driving settled back to a 1-way, I was overall 8 sec quicker than my diff car in Round 4. For me personally and by no means I'm saying this should be for everyone... if traction allows, my driving with a 1-way is faster then a diff/spool. I'm accustom to carpet foam during the winter, it's all about the corner speed to me.

Dom

Hi Dom,

Did some testing this weekend with diffs. One with 120K and another with 300K.

All I ask is that you try the 300K, you should be rather pleased. No mid corner lost of power.

If you like the power and turn in of a one-way, but also like to brake late, then this combination is for you.

The 120K still give me some mid to exit corner, lost of power.

Default 300k in the front

You were running 300K in the front. What were you running in the rear diff?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Rear diff is 7K.

It's a rather technical track and this combination has worked the best for me.

Default rear roll centre..

to increase rear traction on power would changing the rear roll centre do much ?

i guess a lower rear roll centre may increase rear traction

Yes it will.

Right now I am running the mid low setting on both my RRR's.

You may also find the following article very helpful. (no mind it's from the dark side)

Give Aldo a call @ 973-790-3800. They just might have it in stock and could FEDEX it to you.

Default Still need help!!

OK Guys,
I called Aldo (thanks V1-RRR-WC) plus about 30 LHS accross Canada and the U.S.!!!! Nobody has the universals with the extended axles for running the 0 offset wheels. Somebody must have a spare set in their box that they would sell me and courier to Edmonton, Alberta. I will pay for all associated costs. I need these by this Thursday (Canadian Asphalt Invitational Race is this weekend) ......please help a fellow racer out!!!

John, do you know Ed Dinter, Ken Chan and those guys from the Vancouver area? Are they going to the same race you are going?

You might want to give Island Hobbies a call down here in Portland. Ask for Ron, he is the GM. Tell him Dominic from Rose City Scale Racing sent you. I don't run for his shop, but I have seen a set on their wall about 3 months ago. They might still have it. Not sure if they can send it and get to you by Thursday. But if Ed and those guys are going to that race you are going, Ron might be able to ship it up to Richmond and those guys bring it to you??? Just a thought.

Good Luck!

Dom

Hey Tim,
I spent a bit of time on the phone with you folks yesterday!! lol I know you have them in house but if were to get them from you it would be over $100.00 U.S. for a set of universals...after shipping and duty!!! I may just have bite the bullit and do that though!! If Kyosho wants to sponsor me (just for the universals), I'll guarantee an A main finish at this years race....I placed 3rd last year with a NTC3....imagine what I could do with a V1RRRWC!!!

Dom,
I am not sure if Ken Chan and his crew are comming this year. They have been here for the last couple of years...I'll see what I can find out. I placed 3rd at last years race behind Ken's buddy Sam Lui in 1/8th. I think Sam went through 3 Fantini motors that weekend!! lol
Thanks.
