Usually higher traction tracks you want stiffer diff, less traction softer diff

Providing the axles are the correct ones maybe check the width of the front end. Most often it will be 199mm measured at outside of tires at 0 camber

Yup!

Also per instructions, there is shim between the 1-way "tube" and the outdrives, don't forget those.

should there also be some sort of shim when running a diff up front? As the front cvd's pop out of the cups. sometimes when hitting the grass or just under normal running. I already changed track width from 199to 194mm but it didn't help. When running the one way i don't have any trouble with the CVD's.

I just put a diff in my car, I'll check it out tonight on how much "meat" the CVD has on the outdrive and report back.

make sure you use the right length outdrive when you build the front diff. The front diff outdrive is longer than the rear, VZ218 - I think that's the outdrive required..

Finally got my WCE home and started building it and what do I find. Kyosho packed 2 left front bulkhead parts trees in the kit instead of a left and a right. Kinda puts a damper on the mood. Guess I just have to wait for them to send me the right one. Oh well atleast I have a spare left front bulkhead.

Yep, I installed the front diff, and that's when I noticed the problem. I used the exact out drives the manual mentioned, and it was running fine. All of the sudden the dog bone is barely in the cup, and it starts the front tire to start wobbling. When I try try to maybe pull out the cup a little, it doesn't budge.

MMMM sounds like some problems at the factory, I had two sets of front cvd that were packaged wrong also, they were to long toasted both sets before I figured out they were wrong,.sure wished I had kept the header card that came with the parts, nothing I can do about it now. I'm just out the 100.00

Dan, do you at least have the receipt with the part number on there? Or invoice if you ordered online? Part# would be on there.... If the wrong CVDs were in the package and I can get some kind of proof, I might be able to get it sorted out with Kyosho America for you.
