litespeed-dom and Rob - What do you guys think??
I ran mine yesterday. Didn't have much luck all day, in such big track where you are on full throttle 85% of the time, I kept running out of fuel just before the 4:30 mark in the heats, and rear belt snapped during Mains warmup. People getting stuck in the grass infield, grab full throttle trying to get up while kicking crap onto the track isn't fun for drivetrain at all.

Anyway, I did a lot of motor tuning during open practice with the M-type. I didn't have the time to do A-B test with the Mazda and Parma. I can say it has good steering, rear end... ok. It certainly looks cool on the track, but I'm not sold on it. Again, I'm a HUGE Mazda 6 fan, it suits my driving style very well. I'm going to give it a shot again this coming Sunday on a tighter parking lot track and will do the A-B test between the Mazda and M-type. Mike Ellis is a fan of the 3.1, and if he gets my 3.1 finished by this week, then I'll do test on all 3!

And yes, the Parma lexan is thinner and it isn't as durable as the Protoforms.

Thanks for comments on the Type M.

Only 4:30 huh? Bummer. I'm assuming it was with your OS and not the STI. How was everyone else doing? What type of run time do you usually get with your engine?

If you want, the next spec I can work on is an off-road / rally version of the RRR.

No, it was my EVO3 from last year, still haven't broken in the STI yet. We were trying to have the temp (how do I put it?) manageble, but with full throttle for so long, it's inevitable to need to run leaner and gets hotter.

We've been running 30% on all of our motors.

It looks like Adrien Bertin won the 1/10th Final at the FEMCA 2006 Championships! Yeah Kyosho!

Don't you just love this photo of someone swapping out the stock RRR chassis for the SP Main chassis?

So much for "stock out of the box".

Actually he did not use the Shimo chassis and stayed with the stock chassis.

Anyone know if this part (KYOSHO #VZW208 FRP BATTERY PLATE FOR VONE RRR) comes with the RRR WCE kit ?

Also I would like to buy some GP cells as a receiver pack does anyone make pre-built GP receiver packs? If not what size cells do I need if I buy them loose?

Thanks

Thanks!

Dom next time you, guys go out to that track again try 20% and I say this because running 30% is only going to increase your RPM in turn raises temp,Remember the higher % of nitro the less oil, so running 20% may give you the temp you want not sure about the fuel mileage.

if you use 20% your temps will go down and then you can lean it out a bit to get run time.
