I think what you are setting is the clutch gap which determines how hard the clutch will engage. What you want to do is take out the clutch bell and unscrew the nut that holds the spring on until you see 1 thread showing. That is an eyeball esimate around .8mm.

1.2 is the starting point on the clutch nut
Also check the clutch bell endplay you should have .5

1.2mm is too tight. I found .8mm to work everywhere I go. I usually set my endplay to .4mm

Hi Guys!!!

This is a special thanks to Mark27, 710baby and all who guided me along the correct path with their suggestions. I did listen and changed the body to the Stratus and made some other adjustements as recommended.

The result.....

1st Race - Came 1st (10 Laps)
2nd Race - Came 1st (10 Laps)
3rd Race - Came 1st (10 Laps)
4th Race - DNF - (Broke Steering Arm)
5th Race - Came 2nd (Too much adrenaline)

Outlaw Race - Came 1st (20 Laps) - Pitted at lap 12.

I won a trophy for the outlaw class and medal for second in the Nitro class. Also got a camber guage for the second place. Little do they know that packed away at home is my new Hudy Kit complete in aluminum case, that I got only yesterday that helped me to set up the car.

Anyways guys, thanks so much again.

A few pics to enjoy. (Sorry did not have time to paint the body)

markp27,

Have you given any thought to doing a build book for the RRR.
The one for the 710 is excellent.

I am considering it, it is just a question of getting the time to do it. The 710 FAQ was built up over a long period of time, so the amount of effort was spread. Starting from scratch with the RRR would mean that all this effort would be in one-go, which means it would take a heck of a long time to do.
A lot of the items in the 710's FAQ are still relevant, so I could maybe do a quick re-hash which would just contain those relevant parts + gear-ratio/roll-out tables.

I'm bogged down with translation work at the moment, so it isn't going to happen just yet.

Cheers, Mark.

Just click on the link in my signature below this message. It's the 710 FAQ.

Cheers, Mark.
