I would suggest you get the Skyline rear shock tower and put it in your pit box. There is no noticable difference to the handling by using the thicker rear shock tower. The only reason I wouldn't get the original as a replacement is the Skyline is cheaper.

Skyline one is also thicker and stronger. I've broke a few Kyosho ones but the Skyline one is still good after nearly a year.

Right, got an important question here!

Is it best to have the suspension pins tight in the wishbones, and have them pivot in the roll centre bushes OR is it preferable to drill the wishbones out so the pins are free?

Thinking about it, the roll centre bushes are easier to replace when worn than a wishbone! So surely its preferable to have the pins turning in the roll centre bushes than the wishbones?

BUT, if the wishbones pivot on the pins, would they wear out at all?

Not really sure what you are trying to achieve. I would be very surprised in the life of the car that you need to change the roll centre bushes due to wear and even than they are about the cheapest item on the car.
