luketob & cooldude,

Great to see your guys here. Haven't looked at this thread for a while. Been too busy with the MTX-3. Good race on Sunday Tony. Hope to see your car with the "Special" P/L set next time.

I guess those night practices are paying off! It was a fun race last week. If you, JR or Ken raced, the outcome might be different. Hope to see you guys show up at the next club race.

I just bought the Trinity reflex Ceramic Yellow lightning kit.
As i used to have one, and all the bearings are the same, bar the throttle servo horn, steering , and clutch.
These have no need to be ceramics anyway, so i didnt think it would matter.
U dont want rubber seals in a clutch anyway, much better off with SS and maintain them properly.
DO NOT go for acer racing ones, cheap and nasty, would never touch them again.

Boca were amazing, if a bearing failed, they would send me a replacement if it had done less than 16 races.

Not sure if they still do tho !!!

how much performance would you see using these ceramic bearings? I am quite satisfied with the bearings coming with the kit

I thought ceramic parts are not allowed in nitro cars except for the engine?

Default centax clutch and the os tz 3 port

hi guys
just wanted to know how you guys with the os tz engine have your centax clutch set up ?

just wanting to kind of compare it to my setup. i have it set to the book but i have the clutch adjusting bolt set to 1.0mm insteas of the books 1.24mm.

my local track is a medium grip track so i wanted a bit of slip but still the punch.

thanks
John

On medium grip track, my clutch is under 1mm usally 1/4 turn under, as you know the motor screams so dont think it's slipping when you hear it. I got worried but the motor is just bullet prof. Good luck John, let me know how you like the set-up. Carl.
