Thanks for the feedback all. Looks like $320 is a good price.

BTW, the clutch assembly in RC-Toro is out of stock. But now I know the prices from my LHS is overprice. They wanted $86 for it while RC-Toro listed for $60. (Ultimate hobby doesnt have the entire clutch, but they have part of it...)

It is not over priced. It is just your Local hobby shop has to pay for a shop. RC-Toro is an internet store, which does not have over head. RC-Toro might be a over seas place in hong kong or something, so you will pay very high prices for shipping. Call 1-800-716-4588 to get the correct US retail price.

Different front side pulley gear required for the 387T belt. This one is for when using rubber tires as no split between front and rear diameter is required.

hi B4
i was wondering what would happen if you used the 384T with the 24T front side pulley for rubber tyres... would this still give me overdrive because i have 384T to go through on the belt.

whether your running the 384 or 387 your gearing will still be the same, the 384 is very tight fit, and to run it loose enough the belt rubs on the exhaust manifold

I think there is currently about 1% overdrive when running the standard configuration with foam tires and a 2.5mm split between the front and rear tire diameter. There are many calculators available to enter your pulley's and tires sizes that will tell you the % overdirve.

Its normal, to get around this problem without having to grind exhaust manifolds fit the Kyosho FRP Middle plate....this will move the tensioner pulley further to the rear of the car and allow greater clearance under the exhaust manifold.
Cheers

Default Some Problems

Hi guys,

I hope someone can give me an idea how to overcome this, the engine always die when after several laps, ive tried to replace a new glow plug, and its still the same thing. I wonder why, but it runs normally i could run for several laps, but the engine die and i cant finish even a tank without this problem. Im using 16%, and Hot glow plug.(Even tried the medium plug but still the same).

Hope you can help solve this out. Thanks a lot.

Andy thanks for tips regarding my push problem.

How does it die? If it dies after a long straight you are too lean on top. If it dies when you come in to pit it could be too rich in the bottom or your idle could be too low.

Default Hi Jeff

What happen is that, i run for several laps and it doesnt have a consistent situation where the engine dies, sometimes after a straight but usually when it goes into turn. I have used several glow plugs(Nova#5,#6, OSP6) but still doesnt work.

thanks.

I don't think glow plugs have anything to do with it--I think it's the tuning.
