Hi

i just got some 5star & 3 Racing parts for my RRR, which ones are a better choice ? anyone used these two types. So i could sell off the not so good ones.

Cheers

You're correct. The Team Magic G4 in Europe & Asia was the Trinity G4, here in the States. The Mongoose is the full option (k Factory) G4 - now sold by RD Logic.

3 Racing's parts have been reported to be inferior.

NTC3: Cars is too brittle for UK use, even running a kerb can break a swingarm, and as for the rear diff rings stripping, but I have to admit that when they stay together they are very fast.
Mongoose: ?? never heard of it.

The car that won the National Rubber series last year (when it was the main class) and is now leading the National Foam Touring Series (this years main class) is not a Mugen, Serpent, Kyosho, Associated, Yokomo, or Ofna, the car is the Team Magic G4 tricked out with Kfactory parts.

My statement is : the RRR WC works from the box (unlike most other cars including my FW05).
Thank you!Like I said I WASNT trying to be nasty, but to say "you get a car that works" is a pretty vague statement. They are alot of really great cars out there.Only a couple that cost that much. One being a Prospec, but I know what that car has to offer.Ive never seen a Kyosho on road car or known anyone that ever used one. They've never been popular here in the west.Until now that is.It seems that since Kyosho has an office here in Socal the car is becoming more popular.I was just trying to get some info on it before dropping alomost 500.00 for a rolling chassis. So once again thanks for clarifiying your statement.

I knew as soon as I posted what I paid, I would be sorry. Oh well. Next week they will be even cheaper...thats the way it goes. Both of my daughters run RR Evo's too so I will keep in mind the shops above when I am ready to pick up two more.

Thanks

JEFF

you should know RC is very competitive by now. people will tell you that they can turn a lap faster than you (this one is normal), their engines run cooler than yours, their run time longer than yours, their cars are lighter than yours and never break etc. etc. i think we are running out of things to compete.

I've had or still have a assortment of cars. 710, Mugen, and RRR. The RRR has a huge set up sweet spot. It's almost a throw it down and it works everywhere car. Its tough, lightweight and easy to work on. Once you go RRR you never go back.

The hitec 5645 mg is more suited to bigger, off-road use where speed isn't as big a deal as much as strength (holding power). Go with the 625 mg, its faster at .15 and has 85 lbs. in of torque. I've used them to cover throttle / brake duty for years.

Futaba S9451 all over !! is the way to go. Trust me on this one coz I know @ lost a lot of $$$ untill i got the Futaba...

List of Lost servos on my RRR.

JR's
8411
8425
811 x 2
539
559

Almost all of these have a problem while carrying out a 6V current. I guess they are not designed for 6V. Unfortunately for me it took me 6 servos to find this out.. !!! ? ... another thing is that i get the JR's pretty cheap !! compared to the FUT's

The Z590 works great. No bad experiences with that one. If, not the hitec 625 mg, then the JR Z590 is next option (for the price).

Hey all i'm new to the forum and i just finished building my RRR WCE.
I was wondering what do you guy's suggest between these two engines.

Sirio .12 EVO3 5port

or

OS .12 TR 5port

I will be just racing Club for now. Any suggestions or experiences on which would be best?
