wonder if we will ever get a replacement tank
The fastest permanent fix you might be able to do is to find someone with plastic ultrasonic welding machine. Most likely you could find them on plastic manufacturer of car parts such as seat belt system (the cover is joined together) or plastic toys factory or even the machine sellers. Just make sure the area that is leak is not in special shape such as curve or something else as it will require special design molding.

Hope it helps..

Default Leak tank

Hi,

Just return your tank to Kyosho and you will receive a new one.

I had the KX-one TC and the belt did brake after two runs.
I returned it and did get a new one for free.

Bye Thomas

the fastest fix is bring it back and get it replaced. we paid good money and now we have to even learn what a plastic ultrasonic welding machine is ?

thanks pyramid, that's good advice

still need a horn/nest set to make it work correctly, also need to know the correct machine settings to get a good weld and the energy directors on the tank most likely are gone from the first weld, a second weld will not always work. too much trouble to fix one or two tank, i think. but then again, if someone can make a EDM hole in a couple of minutes, may be someone can do it without any trouble too. talk is always easier.

Someone posted a fix earlier but I will repeat it:

SOLDERING IRON

It works just as well as that fancy plastic welder. Fortunately I happened to get one of the good tanks. I'm still weary though so I'll periodically check for a leak until I'm satisfied.

I don't have the RRR, but reading the worlds report I could well be getting one when cash flow allows, then the FW05 will be for Rubber and the RRR for Foam.

Michel at www.the-border.com is getting some in, so give him a shout if you'd like to order one, too.

Cheers, Mark.

Best deal at the moment works out at 198 + postage, I don't quite have that amount spare at present, then there's the servo's.

Did we think any other car was going to win it? Not. Still, this is very exciting for Kyosho fans.
