It Happened to me i use the 9451 servo

The RRR kit actually comes with special spacers for that servo so it will have enough room to clear the deck.

Just shim the servo and you wont need to grind anything.

Put more shims on the screwheads on the screws that hold the servo inplace maybe 3mm should give you enough clearance

I`m using the S9451 for both servos, and as Traj said- if you shim the 9451 correctly, you wont need to sand the upper deck.
I used the thick rubber grommet that came with the 9451 and this also helped to add a little more clearance.
The 9451 uses part # 112 as a shim rather than part #111.

thanks for the tip guys.. I had already sanded now, so i guess i will run with this also put in a shim and see... but i feel that it might then touch the battery !! coz as of now its just mm away from the battery. Will post another pic close up !

Andy the part # 112 is in the RRR kit or comes with the servo ??

Cheers

Default Spare parts box?

I bought a rrr and I am putting together an order for spare parts and was wondering if anyone could help in what I should buy. (As locally parts are non-existant for this car) I know to order spare belts and arms but what are the parts that you have found that I should also order a supply of?
Thanks in advance

Definitely get some spare spur gears- these to me are a must have spares item.
Its also handy to have spare pinions as well....I generally pre-mount these on a spare clutch bell to facilitate a quicker change-over if need be on race day.
One spare I`m glad i had was an spare rear diff housing....a stone on race day mashed my rear diff teeth rather badly, so i was glad to have a 3-Racing aluminium as spare ...hopefully the teeth on this will be a little more rock "resistant".
Also get a spare pulley set.
Cheers

Ive ordered parts from japan-rc.com, although I would email them for availability rather than using their website for ordering. Their email address is [email protected]. Excellent service and fast shipping from those guys. Ive also ordered from Tower in the past. Seems their carrying less, and are out of stock on a lot of the RRR parts (I assume because Kyosho is dropping Great Planes as their distributor).

YES IVE USE THE K FACTORY UNIVERSAL BEFORE
AND I MUST SAY. THEY ARE VERY WEAK IN THE JOINT AREA.
ALSO IF YOU TAP THE BOARDS OR HIT SOMETHING THEY WILL BREAK VERY VERY EASELY. BUT THE BEST THING ABOUT THEM. ARE. THEY COST $20 BUCKS FROM MY HOBBY SHOP.
THE KYOSHO UNIV COST $40.-
