hi guys i looking for a fast rc car top speed at least up to 80MPH
i look around didnt seen any up to 80MPH
i saw one on ebay but its used i want brand new
plz tell me which brand what model top speed up to 80MPH
it could be 1/10 scale or 1/8 scale

You wont be able to find a pre-built/RTR car capable of those speeds. At least not without doing quite a few mods to the engine and other things as well.
You can get a car, put in a God-Almighty powerful engine and probably get it to 80 mph, but the engine would probably be the most expensive piece of the kit.

I've seen 1/8 nitro onroad cars clocked with a radar gun at +70mph on a closed coarse with stock gearing and "off the shelf" engines. I would look for a used 1 generation old (ae. Mugen MRX4) in decent condition, but you could still get parts for. As for engines, I would recommend something like a Novarossi 35+21 "Tuned" (aprox $600 new). The key to top speed is getting proper gearing, find the largest pinions and smallest spur gears made for whatever car you choose. Then the next tricky part, finding a long smooth, clean peice of asphalt.

Just gear a car up internally and pinion and buy a few clutch shoes and belts to get it going... Question is, do you want to go round a track, oval or straight?

Something like the Schumachr Fusion or the CEN TR5.0, both cars box stock capable getting those speeds.

none of those cars are worth a?? specially that cen car! get a traxxas jato or the traxxas 4tec and change gearing and youre done all new under 500 bucks!!!!!

curious myself... what is the fastest rc car/truck you have ever driven? 80mph is nothing short of being something a beginner shouldnt have control of..


If you spend the time tweaking, and money to make it happen... theres quite a few cars you can get going 80+. Friend of mine set the world record for fastest nitro rc car @ 120mph with a Mugen MTX3.. but its far from stock, and not many people would be able to drive a 2wd converted bigblock car at even half that speed.

I help test the Schumacher Fusion .28 before it came out and it did 79.6 mph out of the box. Phil Booth wanted to be sure before he put 80 mph on the box.

You can gear up a nitro car to go faster than that but you will soon burn out clutches. I have had a Kyosho RRR up to 100mph with a .21 engine in and a guy in the USA just had a mugen MTX-3 up to 120mph.

My new IC car has 2 x CMB RS .45 engines with a 3 speed gearbox capable of 160mph. If you want to see fast cars go to www.rossa.org.uk

why spend 500 dollars to get some car you are going to crash and be out of the hobby in about 15 minutes?...

Head to your your nearest hobby shop and buy a kit to build..or find out what the local racing scene is and join them...
