Default Full Titanium Ceramic Ball Bearings

That would be soooooo awesome to have! Fully Titanium and using Ceramic Balls. Wow that would be so light weight for any type of R/C Car.

this may seem silly, but i thought that titanium was strong and light, but had bad friction/wear characteristics?

Sorry, as far as I know there are no Titanium made bearings anywhere. They would be expensive, but very light weight for those seriouse racers out there.

maybe those bearing rails are made of Ti, instead.

Titanium does not work well with heat.

You are correct. That is why bronze pins are used in our titanium dogbones.

Incorrect, Ti is perfect for super-hot area as long as you welling to pay the price.

Just go check the fighter jet's nozzle area, what you will find is lots of Ti panel, nothing else. Also, SR-71's plate is basically made entirely in Ti (also come carbon base composite) to sustained super-hot airflow in Mach3+.

So the key is: how much money you welling to pay for...

The SR-71 does have a lot of Ti, but what I meant is the Ti doesn work well with heat when friction is introduced. Ti is a very good structural material, but not good for bearings or bushings where friction exist.
