NTC3, Nitro TC3, well it probably wasn't the "best". It was/ is a good platform though; the only onroad car that you can use a pullstart/ non-pullstart engine, and rear exhaust/ side exhaust engine; single speed or 2 speed gearing; and any combo of one-way, spool, or differential.

I seriously doubt they will be coming out with another nitro touring car. The class is dieing out. That is not to say that they are not a freaking blast to run though!

Are you saying the 1/10th nitro class is dieing out?

Associated has no plans on doing another onroad nitro car at this time. They are concentrating all of their energies, resources, and development into their offroad line of cars. There was a thread started about this about a year ago with comments similar to what is in my post here. Keep dreaming but don't look forward to Associated getting back into nitro onroad anytime soon.

+1 JLock

Associated has shown no interest in competing in the nitro on-road market.

I think it depends where your located. I'm in the Chgo. area and it is pretty quiet, even with a world-class facility( Leisure Hours) Joliet. But you go there for a bigger race like the Byrons or a Midwest Series race the turnouts are pretty impressive.
AE has a world class onroad car. Unfortunatly, it's the EL TC5/6. I too, was hoping they would have updated the NTC3. But I'd be hard pressed to give up my NT1.

Controlfreaks is enfield I believe which is still a good hour+ drive away

a few years ago in SW CT there used to be a number of tracks which have gone the way of the dodo

I go to wolcott and their dirt track which is like 30 min from me but it sucks not having a local on-road for practice anymore

Sorry to hear that. Here in PR we had the same thing happen but now is growing at a steady pace. We have around 60 to 70 racers each race. We only have one permanent onroad track but here off road is still king with more than 90 racers per race (last off road race we had 108!). What we did was show more offroaders the GTs and some of them started since they already had all the equipment and most had an old 1/8 buggy that could be converted. That way the investment was only for a few sets of good tires and some practice.
