More bottom than the JP with comparable top end, and super smooth.

No I don't work for OS...LOL I just happen to like this motor that much!!

The only negative I would give this engine is that the pinch comes ultra tight from the factory, and you must be very patient with break in. I would say it took 35-40 tanks before the engine really woke up....so if you get one be patient.
O.O
HOLY CRAP!!!!
That's a lot of tanks!!!

Pretty much thats what I learned from when I use to race, and watching races before I got back in to nitro recently. In a field of 10 you can count on 2-3 flame outs, 2-3 really consistant/fast racers, and 4-6 racers making up the field. With the couple of times I have had to mess around with my car and actual drivers I am part of that 4-6 because the second we hit that big straight the old Nova M12 I am running just aint doing it. Thats why I am looking for something faster, without giving up consistancy and reliablity. The M12 the second it hits the starter box is ready to roll. Maybe a little needle play throughout the day. But once its set up it has yet to flame out in a race yet or for that matter tunning it on the asphalt in front of my house.

The engine was very quick at 12-15, but really stretched out at 30 plus tanks.

I have the O.S. speed zx also, relaible, great power band, but the price on their pipe is too much! The pipe is a must when running an O.S. engine

I dont even see any exhaust on their website. Maybe I have been out far too long, but I thought exhaust was a thing of personal preference. Ilike some exhaust are good for low end, some for high end etc. I have a few exhaust I have been experimenting with on my current engine and was not aware that you "Had" to use a specific pipe.

O.S. XZ are good... Novarossi 353, Flash or RB are even better...

The O.S. pipe are really soft and really expensive...

The best engine you can possibly buy under $350 is the Novarossi 353/S.

You'll save enough to even buy a pipe with it (almost)...

The speed pipe is absolutely not a must....Nova 2660 works quite well with the engine. I actually prefer that combo over my 353/2660 combo.
