Default Nitro Sedan Nats - Cinci , Ohio

The following is the list of entries that the Cinci club has for this race. Entries are now closed for this event. I downloaded this from thier site and converted it to excel. I rated the big boys with a #1 and other people I knew with a #2. I added some facts next to thier names - car, home town. I aplogize if I didnt give you a #1 rating if you derserve it, I went with who I know. This looks a lot better on the excel spreadsheet and I will e-mail it to ya if you give your addy. I will also make updates to your name - car ect. this looks like it is going to be one hell of a race !!!!!!!

BTW this is not the official final list, I am not a club member and I am sure they reserve the right to add or delete as they see fit. They have said entries are closed. Any final words must be held with them not I.

I will, I will ! ! I'm kinda new but even I know 9 or 10 of those names, whoooo hoo!
Looks like a lot of TC3's, the whole Associated squad looks to be there. Do you think they'll pull 1st thru maybe 6th or so? LOL.

I am not tring to predict who will win - LOL - Assoc top 6

Those 1st 19 guys are Team Drivers (that I reconized) and I put a car beside thier name (assoc, Trinity ect) and just sorted alphabeticly. Add 1 more driver Billy Estop (if it is really Billy Easton - I believe so). Making it 20 Name factory drivers.

I have been told that Mcnally, Grieger, Toffelmier, Collins and Gannan will be some major players also. Including others that I do not about there may be as many as 40-60 drivers with a shot at the top mains. Making the A will be Spectacular. This is going to be a major driving and speed war on the track. These guys have alot of sponsors betting thier Bis on this race. The winner here will reep untold benifits for the next year. Consididering how big the Nitro Sedan market is now.

Remember this is actually an 1/8 scale track 280x135 with 15ft wide lanes - its HUGE. Painted on track with red/white striped birms and all. This should be one of the finest shows of the summer season.

Try thier site tri-statercautoracers.com And check out the pictures

Woody,

I just don't want to be dead last!!!

I am running a NTC3, If you want to put it next to my name...Mike Harper...

I am trying to get my hands on a RTU, I just don't think my stock MT12 is gonna cut it...

What setup are you gonna try this weekend? (springs, tires and oil?)

Thanks...Mike

RTU's are going to make a serious dent, I promise. I expect a large number of them to be powering non sponsored cars. I believe RTU associated combo's to be the package to beat if the setup is halfway good and the person can drive decent.

Hey Kansas - looks like we might be fighting for last or second to last - LOL

Got to go to the track today and burn another 8 or 10 tanks.

I lowered my ride ht to 3 mm rear and 4 front without problems. Set the droop at 4.5 r and 5 front with some really small tires 2.230 and under - ran them to 2.10. Worked alot with the brakes when you throw them on - they are just to good and can lock up tires to easily. Played with the 2 speed settings alot. Changing it buy tightening the balls to move the shoes closer to the end bell - thus making it react with less travel of the shoes. Doing this I ended up with only 3 turns out on the springs rather than 3 1/2 like the manual. Before I moved the shoes closer to the end bell I was about 5 turns out and shifted incosistantly. It now hits the same place on every chute.

Also played around with different gearing, Stock pinions and Both small spurs and the tallest pinions with smallest spurs. Most everybody here is running a different gear setup - not to many geared the same. It really looks like motor tuning is more important than just gearing up or down. Some guys with low gears are faster in places while some guys with high gears are faster (not counting straightaway) doesnt make sense. Motor tuning is the difference cause most of us have OS TR's and a couple with something else. Its kinda like IROC racing nobody can pull away with power - they got to do it with driving the line.

So far the only tires I have run are purples and plaids.

Woody,

Thanks for the info. This race is gonna be soo cool. It's my first national race, so I'll be EXTRA nervous. Figures my first big race and look at the names that are turning out...

I figured that the motor was going to play the biggest part in getting the equipment right, I am trying to get my hands on a RTU so well see...

I figured I'll bring all the gears assoc. makes and a buttload of tires. I should be close...(if I get a good engine...wink, wink motorman!!! )

Thanks for the info, any breakage on anything yet??
