UPDATE...

ok ok.... its been a heap of months and i have not ran or touched the kart since i last posted here. iv stripped the engine a while ago and built up a xxx-nt losi truck (see pic) and modded the jammin .12 to take a massive .12 ninja onroad carb .. the things a f'n weapon anyways ....... my dads been at me and at me to rebuild the kart and get it all running again . cos one of his bussines's is a go-kart race spare parts shop . we had this kart sitting on the counter and got a fair few people loving it . so....

plans for it are ..
.buy and fit a SIRIO .12 onrd race engine .... (sirio is a kart engine brand as well , so it will look the part)

.mod the whole back of the karts chassis to be able to bump start it .might be a lil tricky but should be ok .

.tidy up all the wireing .

il bang up some more pics when i start.

heres the jammin .12 with big carb... its kinda lost alot of comp now , cos it rev's way harder than it was made too . lol

ok ... mounted the engine today .. took a couple of hours ..

first i swapped out the clutch to one i had (think its off a revo) which had a much larger flywheel to help with bump starting .

next i took the engine plate that came stock which i mounted the jammin.12 too and machined 2 steps as well as a side away ,so the flywheel can hang lower , the steps are for dropping the whole engine and mounts lower to get the flywheel closer to the floor. next i machined 3 slots for bolting the engine too .(could only use 3 not 4 because of how it sits , engine plate is not big enough). i bolted it all up and then ran a die-grinder bit through the slots through the carbon chassis , so bolts could go all the way through.

next i die-ground the hole in the chassis for bump starting .. bolted the engine up and only JUST! can turn it over with my 1/8 buggy bump box lol but just is all i need .

all the cut outs and slots need to be finished and cleaned up its only rough at the moment to see if it all works .. try to make things as good as possible hate having rough work .

did a lil work on it today still waiting on alot of parts to finish it ..

:made a carbon fiber panel thats is to mount the polished alloy fuel filter and exhaust GAS cooler ( standing up right - side by side) .. i no it looks funny now but when iv mounted the them and run all the fuel lines it will look pretty cool .. it also acts like a MAIN GEAR GUARD to stop stones and stuff getting into the belt .

:im also waiting for a MEGA INS filter that will kinda sit on-top of the carbon panel .. will look very trick when its done . also today cleaned up all the bump-start slot and everying up with a file , its all nice and finished now plus mounted the engine for good and exhaust . made a new alloy exhaust hanger .

every thing is all ready just waiting for a servo , fuel filter , gas cooler and INS then it will be ready to drive .im also going to try and run the "REC" in the right side-pod and run all the wiring in the pod as well , well look very neat i hope .. cant wait .
