Why is the Kfactory brake disc bigger than the disc on the XR8? I tried to intergrate the Kfactory disc into the XR8 but it didnt fit.

Shouldn't the 1/8's disc be bigger than the 1/10's ?

I listed the part number you needed, but called it a battery box, which in fact it is the receiver box. But the part number is correct.

Which engine do you have in you car. The photos are not too clear.
Is it the OS version 2, or a Serio.
Either way, do yourself a favor, ditch the stock header and pipe.
Pick up the new 7 ring conical header, and either the 9886 pipe, or the new Rex pipe.
You will see a big difference in the performance of the car.

I actually just lost a DSM reciever to a hard T-bone impact. I personally think that mounting location is a recipe for disaster, and ended up mounting the new one to the upper radio plate(safest place I could squeaze it in there). These cars are heavy, and the weight of the tiny reciever is insignificant; so a safe place is, in my opinion, far more important...

Anyone get the lower front machined arms? How are they? How much should you pay for them?

Talking Great car

I'm new to 8th scale but bought an xr80 off e-bay and like it. I read on here some setup tips and they worked great. First i moved the rear shocks to the new location as posted on here. I also moved the rear body mount pivots to the outer hole and put the 3 mm of shims on the rear hub carriers. I would recommend anyone to try this and see if it helps your car as it really made mine work great. Stan

Default PRP XR-80

If you go to Power Racings web-site, and look under the XR-8 they give a good set-up sheet that was used at Fort Myers.
I used it, and then modified it a little for the track I run on.
They way my car is dialed in now, I would compare it to the MRX4-R.
I also have the new 2005 Evolva, but the two cars drive completly different.
I did discover the the XR-8 car is prone to push a little. If you change to the Mugen white front springs, and then try the Serpent body, it really works great.
If you can ditch the stock clutch, and use the Mugen clutch
If I could post some pics. I would, but I can't seem to get my photos on the site.
