You come to Floyd too also? I was there on Fathers day, but the guy I was with wasnt my father...just a friend. I'm still debating as to run the R40 or the 8th as my permanent car.

Ah man, you can't choose just one...that's like picking one of your children over another!

I like sedans a lot and they are challenging to drive, but so is 8th for me since I'm getting use to a oneway and solid rear setup. Currently working on the braking setup for the car too and so far I think I got it setup right. Tomorrow's run is ALL about the8th so I'll give it a try.

When you say, you think you've got it, do you mean it's handling as well as the R40, or better? Mine handles far better, like an eletric, only alot faster...

Oh no I was refering to brake linkage. Never tried at high speeds yet since the engine is still being broken in.

Default one and only

Sorry there is only time for one scale of nitro cars. There is just not enough time... I also just started racing slot cars, using a co-workers setup, this is pretty cool too, FAST! Hopefully my car will be back together this weekend. I am just waiting for parts to come in(the rest of my CNC'd arms).

Default Parts Support

Guys, if you need help with parts, I know of a few shops that carry parts. Brooklynhobbies.com, Brucknerhobbies.com, Acesnitrorc.com, and lastly Happytimehobby.com(408.988.1188 ). Anyone of these can help. If you have a special question just ask, or call HTH, ask for Roger... Tell him your drinking

XR8 is awsome! My Evolva is for sale.
Car was hooked-up from first run at Kenosha. Kept making small changes to improve steering. Got better every time out. Took my main....1/2 hour battle to come from last (pit guy didn't put car down, then he put it down just as I blipped the throttle,,,ended up on my lid). Car was easy to drive and very fast. Strong & very adjustable..
some small minus points; My kit came with 3 2-hole pistons and 1 1-hole piston! I glued a piece of toothpick in one hole to convert one of the 2-hole pistons to a one hole. Could use a more complete set-up sheet.
Spring was too stiff in clutch! I used a softer one & it worked fine.
I made no adjustments to the clutch all weekend.
I also gave the car a durabillity test when, I hit a board HARD comming out of a corner (got too tight). Car went tumbleing off the track! This happened in the first qualifier...continued on with no dammage.
I love it & recomend it.
