Engine Choice question?

Engine Choice question?
I just got a pretty good deal on a Kyosho V One RRR WC with pretty much every K factory upgrade made for it. It came with three engines, all having a few gallons through them. A Novarossi M12, a Picco RR XP, and a RB Concept "Rody" X12. All have good compression and all seem in good condition (I took them apart cleaned them and checked for scratches and blemishes). I am waiting for my starter box to get here and putting the engine and electronics in and trying to figure out which motor I should run with. Any one have any insight on the two motors. This is my first Nitro Touring car since my NTC3, so I know this is a major upgrade and I want to be competitve sooner than later.

Hi I find that the novarossi has the longest life but the picco IMO is a little 'fruityer' just a little sharper to respond which I find on a dry track would give me about a tenth of a second. But my Picco will noticabley lose compression within about 4 meetings. As the car is a big upgrade for you inwould use the Novarossi IMO, I have no experience with the other motor.

Jwright1 thanks for the input.
Scott Fisher, I do own both of all of them but really have no need for three engines. My buddy wants to buy one of them to upgrade the one on his NTC3 rtr but I dont want to give up my best one before I started rolling. We have a little group of people that started running together and I can not let him beat me with my own engine lol.

Picco XP - Very sharp engine, Picco is known for torquey engines.
Novarossi - Just allround good quality, can't really go wrong.
RB X12 Rody - I would use this one, just a general madhouse in terms of power and tuning.

thanks Shakespear. That is the one after reading up on all of them online trolling websites and forrums and whatnot. The reason why I wanted to know also is because all three of them are used so probably not at optimum power. I got a credit at the local hobbyshop and the guy said he will give me a piston and sleeve for the one I want because if I race hard throughout the season I might need it. So I didnt want to waste the opportunity. That and I didnt want to give the better one away to my friend.

Good stuff, I would either have used the Nova or the RB, but since its the Rody RB, that makes it even more appealing to use, but I like RB engines anyway.

I remember when I got out of Racing back in 03. Sirio's and NovaRossi's were so far and beyond anyone elses that it made no since to get anything else. Now it seems a lot of other players have caught up. I am looking forward to surprising my friends this weekend. They are running a R40, NTC3 and a MTX4. Should be a fun weekend...for me hopefully.

NTC3: Good allround basher, not race orientated.
MTX4: I think it would win, depending on the motor and driver.
