I know from the past days that what the big names were driving was folowed by most of the clubmembers. Most of the time the big name was involved with the local shop so it was safe to drive what he was driving.
Today with internet and simple international payments most people aren't folowing the big names. A today driver does choose his equipment based on price, durabillity and populairity and Mugen is still a winner with that although the MRX5 is a bit more expensive to get and thats why a lot of Mugen lovers here do stay with the MRX4 platform.

Regarding the new cars from Xray, Capricorn, TeamMagic(?) and others to come we have to see if they do promise the performance as they look or are famous based on the well performing 1/10 cars.

Yes, I also have looked to the Xray but with a blown out sale at a shop here in Holland I have ordered already for 250 euro of stuff getting my MRX4 as new and a lot of spares for the rest of the year, so I made my choice.

Don't just play follow the leader. Drive what you feel most comfortable with.
