No they wont, not if they are rapid prototypes. They are very fragile, just putting the thing together without breaking them is difficult.

However, you often see white prototype parts being run by manufacturers in testing. Those are usually machined from solid delrin.

There are various ways to make these with a so called rapid prototyping technique.
The one Wingracer is referring to is 3D printing, these parts are very brittle and can only be used for part checking and basic fitment.

Stereo lithography is a different technique which uses a laser to polymerize specials fluids. These parts are strong enough to test with.

On a school project we actually used parts made with this technique for suspension pieces on a 113kg car.

I was under the impression that lithograph parts were fragile too. That's really cool that they are usable.

Can little bits and pieces of other cars in there, but some good ideas and good looking things too. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

Not yet. I was supposed to get it on the track this past weekend, but my car has not shown up yet.

At the moment I do not know. I will find out more today or tomorrow as to what is the update. I will say that if I get the car, I might have to go to Homestead the same weekend to test it out for the Worlds. The track is closing for a few weeks and will not open again till that same weekend. That might be my first chance to even test the car. Will have to see.

As with the RX8 – I can’t say I’m in awe, nothing funky about the car at all, the only thing I really like is the front hubs that is inter changeable left and right, except for that …. Nope nothing …. The aluminum bulkheads is a bigger disadvantage than an advantage ...
