Wow the car looks sweet. Does anybody know the price in US? I was able to find the price in an european website (capricornrc.nl) and the price is very close to the price of the Xray RX8. ( i think the difference was 20 eu or so)

If they keep the same proportion between the 2 brands here in USA as well (high 600's), then i can see myself buying one of this cars really soon

You could try calling any local dealer you have for Desoto Racing/Serpent America to get the price. Or just call them directly. I am not sure what it is.

Well what can I say. Of course I will hit the track today, but for now let me just say this car looks sexy. I love the rear sway bar mounted low, the CG looks really low also. The clutch is super compact, the way the front and rear end is all open looking makes it cool as well. I did not have, but the front looks to have the optional bar type sway bar (which I really like on the sedan). This does look like the big brother of the sedan for sure.

I finished putting the car together last night so I can hit the track today later.

Here is a photo of the finished product

Street price for the Lab-C801 is $699.
For that you will get a very high end kit with a lot of lightweight parts as standard, the best shocks and an awesome clutch.

If it did, it's not on the car in the pics so I would say no.

Default C801 runs strong at Homestead!

Today, Dj hit 16.0s with his Lab C801 on the very first day with the car at Homestead(Miami). The car ran strong all day without any "new-car" blues. Looks very promising! Testing continues tomorrow. I'll try to take some video clips and post them on www.facebook.com/capricornrcusa

Yup, 16.0s are very strong lap times at Homestead. Below is a link to the Pre-World Qualifying results for a lap time reference:

And this was just the very first day of testing!

Good morning guys. First thing is no, the car did not come with the new motor mount. Although it does look cool.

As for the first day I was very happy. More so about the car staying together in terms of not having any major problems. 2 speed work good. Transmission worked good. Never stripped a gear, belt or had pulley issues.

Of course with just 2 days to test I am really just trying to make changes as much as possible to see how they affect the car. Nice thing is so far a change that I make I can feel and see in lap time. When the car was at its best I was able to get a fast lap of 16.0 and a few of them. Consistently around 16.2. Of course I think there is more and hopefully I will find some of it today. Its hard to judge as a track record lap, since it is getting hotter now and times are going to be a little slower I think, but yesterday the fastest guy was Paolo with a 15.9 that I heard. So I am happy with the first day for sure. I am going again today around 10:30am to the track. Got to work first in the office. Hence why I am here so early. hehehe

Will update more for tomorrow, but I must say the car looks awesome and feels great too.
