Default g4rs

is the team magic g4rs a competive car against the mugens, serpent,xray
and if so why dont you see that much of them at the tracks?

I have been running the 09 for about a year it is very competive car against the cars you have stated in your post.Why you dont see them is mainly parts support i made the Worlds lists with the car.Just my 2 cents.

They'll tell you this car or that car is 1 second quicker etc. If that were true then we'd be in the A drivers and that comes with experience. the TM cars are built with high quality materials, well engineered and have a good availability of parts.
In my experience they may not be as robust as muggers but are easier to work on and don't have inherent flaws like weaknesses in chassis flex etc. Not enough people run them hence the think tank is missing at tracks. But for ppl like impala and the g4 threads there's more than enough info.

From my experience they like smooth tracks to run them stiffer and lower, that is likely due to our lack of experience. So unless you race at a track such as my own where there is a dominant make, there" s no reason not to buy one. Note that the junior versions may not be up to race spec, but you are referring to the rs range.

As for mods, you do need to cut the wheel hub pivot balls or avoid using wheels with positive offsets. We often struggled at majorsndue to getting track width and it changed our setup, this is when using offset wheels. Earlier models had tight binding ball cups and the clutches used a 4 mm split.

Here more pics an i had add alittle tid bits to the car also.The tid bits i added are the Capricorn 11gram pivot balls,Nylon onepiece pivotball holders .Pic3 is something we came up with so my pitguy can adjust drag brake when i need it.

nice car bobby...that brake set up is interesting. I like the magic cars cos like bobby had said a while ago. its different. I believe the main issue with team magic is factory support, there is none! the best you can do is get a discount on parts. the only US sponcered driver that I know of was Rick Vessell. thats where i got my rs08 from and a ton of parts. think he's with shepard now.

also its, whos wheelin that baby around the track...parts here arent a problem
as long as you order the parts that are most likely to brake before you brake them. like most cars out there...juz my 2 cents.

this is your year bobby...I feel it!. best wishes for 2011.

I am pretty sure I will be doing the sedan nats. I have gone to the last 5 in a row and don't plan to stop now.

Looks good Bobby, like the brake arrangement, flipped around bike spoke, will do something similar with mine.

I notice your running the box stock brake pads and side belt and plenty of K Factory gear, looks good.

Default Quick Test Done

Did a quick run today, tested out the 24t second from X-ray, so my gearing now is 17/62,24/56 we will see how it takes that 300 ft straight at our Homestead track this coming weekend.Will keep you posted.Also will be trying out the Protoform P37.
