they are the same car, but the prospec comes with the hopups.
All of which can be purchased separately.

4mm chassis
universals
new springs
titanium pivot balls and turnbuckles
etc etc.

If you are going to buy a new mtx-3 the prospec is much cheaper in the long run.

in my opinion the only worth while upgrade on the Pro-Spec is the universals- which can be had from 3-Racing real cheap ($28 for all 4). The rest is just eye candy- or to say I have a titanium "this or that".

Save yourself the $150 and put it towards an engine or radio gear.

Lee- they are the same damn car. I have two of them. Just buy the standard kit and the universals and be done with it.

The only other thing I'd consider is the 0.8 gears, but not on our tiny track.

Before I go to Fuel Nationals I'll most likely get the 0.8 gears, just due to the size of the track.

more like a hopup mtx3 :-)
as far as 0.8 module, I love them it's work just as well as in small to big track. As far as titanium pivot balls I think they are worth of investment if you can get them cheap it makes a differences. I'm not an expert on RC car or mtx3 but i'm speaking from my pimp up my ride experience.

MTX-4? They are not working on a new sedan right now. There main focus right now is the

That is from the link you gave me Q

Making your car stronger (titanium), lighter (titanium and the thicker, milled chassis), more efficient (universals and the new gears) and potentially handle better (all of the above, thicker swaybar and springs) is not eye candy. I cannot from actual experience say that the prospec is better, but I can repeat myself and say these hopups are functional, not window dressing.

cartman is right, the new cars are usually already made like 1 year before they are released. It takes time to design cars on the computer and to actually make custom parts for the car. Then you have to make more prototypes and start testig them, to see how thay work and what needs to be changed. After that is all changed then the car needs to be approved for production. After that they start producing them so when they release them there won't be a shortage. Usually couple thousand of kits are waiting in a warehouse months before the release day.

Don't forget the hop ups either, those are made when they are probably testing the prototypes to make the car bulletproof.

It's safe to say the mtx4 has already been made.

None of that speculation means that an MTX-4 will be available for purchase anytime in the next year. Maybe it will, but all kinds of things can prevent new products from hitting the end users. Look how long the MGT took to finally hit the shelves, from when all the hype and speculation started. They had prototypes at trade shows as well as it even had a different name in the beginning (BFT). It is entirely possible that the MTX-4 will be on sale next week, but I wouldn't count on it anytime soon.

Remember, Tim, Mike, Robbie etc don't want to lose potential MTX 3 sales, but they also know they are going to lose sales too if they are just flat out lying to people. They were pretty honest on the new buggies.

we know that they don't want to lose sales. Personally I think you can be fast with an outdated car, I just don't see the point in getting a car every 2 years. I'm keeping my RR for along time, and I don't care that the RRR might be twice better.

Ive only had my mtx3 for a little over a month but I am sure that i will get the 4 when it comes out. mostly because I love this car so much compared to my ntc3 and i know the next version will be better.
