Unless... I just had a brainwave!! What if their was a rubber-like boot you could put over the driveshaft and the diff outdrive!?? The pins in the axle where the wheel is last me a long time, Ive only replaced the front uni's because they were gone on all holes.

What would be a good grease to use on those joints? I have Castrol HTB grease that I use for the Thrust Bearings, but would that be OK for the joints?
i use the white lithium grease it not real thick so it does get slung around, as far as dust covers i know a riend tried shrink wrap it seemed to work but for me it seem like to much trouble, just clean and regrease for me

I don't think the dirt in the outdrives is the same as dirt in your bearings, it will kill a bearing but in the outdrives the important thing is to keep the two metals rubbing dry.

Default R4 Updates!

Stabilizer:
Blade-type on front (slightly longer reach). Rear features new design, shorter reach wire-type. Combines the sharpness of adjustable type with the simplicity and esilience of the wire-type.

Wheel hub:
Features the popular machine cut hexagonal aluminum “Multi Off Set Hub” from the Shimo Edition.

Bumper:
New structure. No longer connected to the front bulkhead so drops slightly on initial impact, and isolates the stress of impact from the bulkheads for more durability.

use any thinck grease. you can buy automotive CV joint grease which will be thick enough and does the job. This idea that grease mixed with dust wears out a joint quicker than a dry joint is a falacy. what destroys the steel is the steel on steel contact and the friction. even a thin film of grease (thin enough were you think there is nothing there) is enough to protect the joints. even open joints tot he point where they wear substantially less with grease. put grease on all joints of the CVD, and you will notice it will wear a lot less. Clean it frequently if the dust freaks you out...but it won't do any damage if you leave the dust for two race days or more.

i did the test once where i ran with and without grease. i was extremely suprised at the amount of wear i got with no grease. basically whenever i greased the CVD i got at least x2 more life on all parts exposed or non exposed.

Sweet-o, im using Losi High Pressure black grease for now until its time to replace them - very soon. Ill get some thick joint grease later on if the Losi stuff is no good.

Apart from the release date, WHO is going to be one of the first to actually be selling to the general public? As in being able to buy online or in-shop (if they weren't sold out?) XD
