Anyway, but for one car that bobbled, these guys showed how it should be done, with a nice clean start.
Mike, as I mentioned over at the racer grid forum, your pictures are PROFESSIONAL level..........of course, that Nikon definitely does the magic, it is very rare to see some crystal clear RC racing pictures now a day espeically those pictures that shotted while they are in action............good job.

P.S....I am also very interested to see the rest of the A-main drivers pictures....like Lin's CD3 or Berry's S710's close up body removed pictures.....if possible, thanks.

Not sure if I will be coming to the Chicago show. Still to far ahead....LOL

Serpent will release information on the MEGA line of engines on their website myTSN I'm sure sometime soon. I think someone mentioned later in October. I may be wrong but don't have a date yet. Check out www.myTSN.com for the latest on the MEGA engine line and its updates.

BYW...... They are very good engines.....

Question for you:

Just looking at the picture of the 710 there and noticed that you've it has the thicker rear anti-roll bar on it. Why was this used if the car was suffering with traction roll?

Cheers, Mark.

It actually produces more rear bite = push. It also keeps the rear of the car from rolling and staying flat.

Thanks for the answer - I understand about the rolling bit and staying flat, but I always thought a roll bar would reduce grip at the end to which it is applied - have I misunderstood something?

Cheers, Mark.

Team RD Logics setup for the 710.

we had on power push issues early in the week we tried to solve and adding as much as an ounce and a half to the front of the car helped.

we ran 2 setups
ours early in the week and on friday
and the serpent team setup on saturday.
Sunday we went back two our setup as we felt with the solid axle the car just did not rotate well. Brian ran well with that setup. I've watched Brian run a long time and I could tell that setup was holding him back.

what we ran. 4 of us worked on setup for a couple weeks.

front
camber +2
wheelbase shortened 3 MM top and bottom
caster 2mm clip in front
shock oil 80 or 100 wt
shocks 3 holes open
shocks layed down 3 holes
springs red
swaybar stood straight up
Front upper roll center at upper most adjustment
tires 42 shore 58 MM
I ran 1 0z additional weight under the front axle (Hudy Xray weights)

Rear
camber +4
toe 2.0 to 2.5
shocks 80 wt oil
3 holes open
shocks stood straight up
springs red
2.5 bar 10 MM in on pivots
roll up on lower arm
roll center middle inner on upper arm
drs arm up
42 shore tires 58 MM

pinion gearing 16-21
yellow or red shoe
stock flyweights
950 R spring

The car was good on thurs friday and saturday but a little tippy over 59 MM on tire dia on sunday. I just could not push the car hard.

The Team serpent setup seemed a little more forgiving for tippiness.
