Ya gotta love it, IFMAR changes the rules and we get to see a slew of new bodies before the Worlds...

My first reaction was, "Its a Protoform version of a Zytec!"

I believe the P909 will still handle better than this new R15, it is due to the taller wing that the P909 had, anyway this body is created in accordance to the upcoming Worlds (Rules)

Within the EFRA 160mm for the body and 170mm max for the spoiler....

Manufaturers do get the possibillity to modify current models to comply with the new rules. From what was told they want to go to a worldwide body spec where the manufacturers can operate within.

Roelof, I think I saw your name on the EFRA meeting attendees-list. What is actually now changing? Only the height or also something else? Will the last summers bodies (P909, Zytec, Zytec V2, R09...) be still legal and the bodylist will maybe only include these new bodies added or how is it gonna be??

The height is measured from the table level, the car put on 10mm blocks and the body mounted on the car...

Yep, the EFRA is using a 10mm spacer to put the chassis on. If the wheels do not touch the ground then the body will be messured higher than with the wheels on the ground.

Most current bodies will fit but with shorter H-arms at the rear, I am running the P909 with de longest H-arms from the first MRX4-R and I do believe my body is at 160 already.

And yes, the maximum height of the spoiler is set to 170mm

From what was told (and I could be wrong) is that manufacturers do get the chance to modify current bodies which is mostly only lowering the side dams.

Default Body Height

The last time I spoke with someone from the RoAR body approval group I was told that Roar had no intentions of adopting the IFmar/Efra spec for height at that time, but that was several months ago.
