from my ppoint of view, FW-05 is most durable, but to get it run good, you need to spend as someone else said some more money. the car is very easy to drive as it is more stable, it has lot of punch but the top speed is limited compare to other two.
it is easy to work on but just need to spend some money on it
overall, easy handle but need too many upgrade like other Japanese car

sorry, i mean FW05R need universal starter box

I am not sure if you need that.

I am running a Novarossi NSR12S5, Kyosho manifold and the 6.0mm pipe, 22/27 pinion and 51/45 spur with the 39T ring gears. The car has so much top end I am nearly as fast at the end of the straight as the 1/8 and can most certainly run with any 710 on the track if not faster.

Sounds fun, but that's wouldn't be legal for racing.

Either your track is a relatively "short" one or your engine life will not be for long... I know the Silverstone track looks big but how big is big?

The stock 710 can be a little overgeared for most tracks. The stock gearing suites most of the largest of tracks. I mean if you gear both car similarly, I would think you'll end up pretty much about the same speed.

It's not a matter of which car is faster at the end of the back straight. It does not make sense. Similar engines would yield similar results on different cars as long as their end result of the gearing and tire rollout are the same.

K-9: There are a lot of people here with good points. As I said before, it all comes down to what car has better support at your track/LHS. Bellieve me, is hard to figure out the right settings for a car if you are the only person racing that particular car specially if you are new at the hobby (a little help never hurts!). Again, the 710, FW05R and the G4 Evo are excellent machines each one with it's own particular traits and woes. Consider also the following cars:

1. Mugen MTX-3
2. Kyosho V-One RRR
3. HPI R-40
4. Schumacher R-12

Hi,

I wouldn't compare a Serpent 710, or Kyosho Fw-05R or Trinity G4 with a Schumacher or HPI.
