Just some feedback and a question.
I tried the mod above and swopped the left and right hubs around. The result I got was - corner entry perfect and mid corner fine but as soon as I exit the corner the front would bite and bring the rear out. Not an ideal situation. I did not change anything else on the car since my lasr race.

Any ideas on why it would happen?

Faan, are you sure nothing else was changed? This modification should not result in the rear being loose. None of the cars I have performed this mod to and then driven have exhibited this problem. To the contrary, the car is easier to drive despite having more steering. Make sure the front width, offset, and camber are the same as before. If you were using the eccentric front bearing cups, make sure you flipped them around to keep the axles in the same position (whatever position that may have been).

Regardless, if the rear is loose on corner exit, try the usual:
add rear toe in
pull the gurney strip further back
softer rear shock springs
softer rear tires

Post or email me your complete setup, I'll look and see of something is amiss. Just to be sure, next time out, put the uprights back in the original position and see if the problem goes away.

Hiya... i found the same situation as above the car would hook on power exit !!! Gone back to normal left and right and car was fine.

Garen... car solved now as found the non adjustable roll bar was better for on power steering than the adjustable type.

I have bent and broken the rear lower pins before too, but almost every time, it allowed me to finish the race, even with a broken pin. Something has to give, better a pin instead of the arm or bulkhead.

I prefer the pin as it is quicker to replace ...lol !!! Also the car wasnt too badly affected....

The results you two have found with the knuckles flipped is the opposite of what we have found. I rebuilt a car for a friend a month or two ago, and set it up almost exactly like mine, except the knuckles on his car were in the original position. His car drove ok, but did not turn as good and to me it was loose.

With the RS2 you can quickly and easily go back and forth and in between, and if I am not mistaken, even moreso in either direction, so no matter what the track or driver preference, you can adjust this angle to your liking.

I only changed 2 other things:

I reduced the caster - but I increased it again after my first run with no improvement.

I reduced the weight of my shock oil in the back by 50 - this shouldn't be the cause of the problem but should actually help solving it - right?

I'm going to put my car on the setup board later this week and will write everything down and mail it to you. Thanks.

For now I'm going to swop it back - I'm running in the first leg of our nationals in less than 2 weeks time and is going to try it normal.

I'm happy with the support and kit I'm running now, but for some reason the Montonica kit keeps me looking at the website and thread! Looks like such a nice well thought out kit. Garen PMME the newest kit price and parts list as I am thinking of buying another new kit to test out against what I am currently running...

Jay7, the RS2 stays at the same price as the RS, no price increase. The kits shipping now include both the old and new front knuckles. The RS2 also comes with kevlar belts. Parts/price list can be downloaded from the support page of motonicausa.com.

You might want to inspect the rear outdrives as there may be a notch in them locking up the suspension as it loads up on drive.

Nope - had a thorough inspection on my out drives before since my car was making a funny noice through high speed corners (was the 2 speed tranny making the noice)
