Thanks Garen. I'm still going to buy it as complete car though. Then I have the bits left of the pro and the rs as spares. Let me know as soon as they give you a price.

Thanks
Faan

So am I, even though the RS is very good as is. I have been playing with setups a lot this year, and for every track I have been to, I have found a fast but comfortable setup. If you still have the original P81, you might still need or want the RS upgrade, unless an entirely new upgrade kit is made, combining the RS update with the RS2 update, which I doubt will happen. For me, the biggest improvement in the car was the RS front tower and radio tray. These made the car steer better and carry more corner speed.

Faan, will do.

Motonica will provide free RS2 upgrade kits for P81RS kits purchased from September onwards. I don't know the details of this offer yet- how the kits will be distributed, whether or not this includes kits purchased by the various importers previous to September, etc., but it is a good offer nonetheless.

I forgot to mention earlier, when the P8.0R 08 was introduced, Motonica offered a free trade in program for plastic parts which were changed from the P8.0R to the 08 model. When the P81 was introduced, the same offer was given for plastic parts- bulkheads, arms, uprights -you could trade in your nib P8.0R parts for the equivalent P81 parts.

Just got a sneak peek at the RS2 update. The new front uprights are pretty trick. Will try to post some photos here or on the website, but I think Motonica will release info to the public within a few days.

Selling as a upgrade or whole kit?

Pretty sure both a complete kit and an update kit.

Front uprights have adjustable king pin inclination angle, multiple ackerman positions, and removable insert which allows the entire bearing and axle assembly to be removed without messing with the pivot balls. Like the current uprights, the axle has 5 positions (middle, up, down, forward, rear) and adjustable offset.

Tim, shoot me an email.

Email [email protected] and I'll get you hooked up either direct or through a dealer. Right now tires are out of stock, but Motonica's X-Tyres will be available soon for about $32/set of 4.

Yup, we won the Toys for Tots race, again. Just like last year we finished 1-2, except this time it was me in first and Chris Verano in 2nd. Chris set fastest lap of the main. We had a third car in the main, driven by Tony Neisinger, he finished 8th, with some motor issues I think.

Ralph Ayala placed 4th in the sportsman A, first time out with the new car. He even quality tested the car by launching it through and over the perimeter boards.

I ran the VOX motor again, and the good fuel mileage turned out to be the difference at the end as I had one less pit stop to make. We had 4 cars in the expert class, out of 40+ drivers, and 3 made the main, 2 on the podium. We had the most number of cars in the main (3 Motonica, 1 Shepherd, 2 Mugen, 2 Serpent, 2 Xray). Also interesting to note, neither Chris, myself or Tony ran sauced tires. Looking forward to 2012 and the RS2.
