Let me guess, you will be a team driver with the new car that is about to be launched??

But i guess with all the hype your making it will be even bigger than that!!

Wooo hoo~
The above quote sums up this thread the best!!! This could have been posted on the Capricorn sub-thread under Nitro onroad. Again, I can't say it any better than the quote above.

If you guys don't feel like DJ Apolaro driving the Capricorn isn't big news then that's your opinion. I myself think it's big news the new bodies are news. But I guess if it doesn't have to do with the brands you like it not news. Smh again congrats to DJ and the new ride and TQ

Big news is something like a new, innovative engine that defies what we have known or like when Tekin came back into play with their innovative ESCs that seem to have unlimited potential due to their software. A sponsored driver changing to another car manufacturer is not big news. They do it all the time. They win a number of races with their new ride, then some move on to drive for someone else for whatever reason. Burch, Cyrul, Blackstock, etc have all done it. It was news when they did it, but it was not suspense, earth-shattering stuff. Most of us would say "Wow" or "Ok" and roll on.

I have to aggree.
It may be news, but not earth shattering. Drivers change manufacturers all the time, and new bodies are released often.
Unless a new body style is such a Major improvement on the bodies that are being used now, to me its just another new body on the market.
Far as I am concerened, the last "Big Change" in bodies was when the P909 came out in 1/8th scale, and a couple new ones came out in 10th scale.
But even those bodies as good as they are, were not earth shattering news.
But whatever news you want to call it, good luck to him on his new ride, and we will have to wait and see how the new bodies handle before any opinions are handed out.The news sure did not float my boat.

I'm more concerned with two top level drivers leaving Serpent. Chris and DJ.
DJ contributed a lot of good info for the 733 chassis.

Pass you soon...

Serpent is still in great hands Bump. Paolo is still running the 733 and so is Salven the car is still a great working car. As for it being earth shattering news it never was claimed to be. The Blitz Body worked well. You guys say it wasn't worth the thread but you keep coming back!

That is in part of what I am talking about. Drivers change from manufacturer to manufacturer quite often. Chris was not with Serpent for very long, and already has moved along.
I know of at least 2 very high profile sponsored drivers that have told me they think their cars are not up to par with the other manufacturers, but due to the contracts they have with the manufactuers, they have made the choice to stay. But by speaking with them, or reading their posts, or forums, you would think their cars are by far supperior. It boils down to what is most profitable for the driver sometimes, and not the quality of the car.
And dont take me wrong. I am not speaking about either D.J. Or Chris.
One of the drivers I am speaking about runs electric sedan only.
So go back and read the posts after the announcement was made.
The following posts were not so much in aggreement of what a great moves they made, as the posts were more of a complaining nature. I still wish them both the best.

Lil-bump, you should not be concerned. Serpent is strong.
Chris Tosolini did not leave. We had to let him go for disagreements with the CEO of the company. Regarding DJ, he was asked by our sister company Desoto Racing to promote the new line of products, so he agree.

Serpent have 2 world class drivers in the USA team that will continue running the car. Paolo Morganti and Scott Kimbrow.

Come on now we all know the red side or wearing red Is a Kyosho Licensed word or phrase. I saw red Xray shirts at the worlds and Capricorn has red shirts, I guess everyone wants to be like Mike!!
