Default VRC setup

I am setting up an 8th scale serpent in the VRC racing game.

Under the suspension settings it has the option of show the chassis elevated or resting. I assume that elevated means off the ground (not supported by the tires) and resting means its on the ground (supported by the tires).

When I click the button for resting the ride height is higher, How is this possible? Does anyone know this game well?

Your gonna love this! The suspension that your attempting to adjust is based on a Serpent Vector, non adjustable everything. The resting setting is only there so you can see the effect your elevated adjustments cause. CRAZY HUH? ADJUST ELEVATED, check resting....

Maybe it means that its resting on droop blocks, the chassis is resting but the tires are in the air? Just an idea...

This is the way I use it. I always adjust my suspension resting on the tires. Elevated is a representation of the suspension with no load but, associated with this is a slide bar on the side which will show you how your suspension is changing as you put more load on it. Somewhat like seeing camber rise or gain. When the slide bar is all way at the bottom this represents no load.
Looking at your ride height for an elevated car means nothing.

Hope this helps.

Pass you soon...

I play this too, nearly have the 1/10 sportscar record on Boss Speedway Japan.
With the elevated/resting options, its just that - when it is lifted off the ground, and what its like resting on the ground.
I always adjust it RESTING. I set the camber so the feel of the car is consistent from start to finish. If it gets too grippy towards the end of the race, I reduce the camber 1/2 a degree, the same goes if its too sloppy
When it is elevated, I doubt its on blocks, because you can change the length of the arms to be fully extended. Im getting pretty good at doing setups, if you need some info or setups, ill either send you one, or try to help you get yours right - thats if I have the track you are trying to run on!

You dont need to take any notice if its on elevated or resting. I dont, and most of the time its elevated anyway.
What you really need to work on is Gearing because that changes the car handling by a huge amount and it also sometimes changes the Zoom.

If you want any setup advice or setups PM me with your email address.

The new version is way behind schedule. Looks pretty cool but the Major down side is you pay for everything and I mean everything. When you buy the initial software you get a generic chassis. If you want an upgraded chassis say a serpent or Xray you have to buy it. You even have to buy the tools and tire truer. So if you want a Hudy tire truer vice the generic tools you have to buy them from VRC. I hope this platform doesn't turn into a money pit.

As if they would make you buy absolutely EVERYTHING!!! Why would you have to pay for a "truer" INSIDE a game!? Including chassis's's's's's that would completely turn me away from that version. When I got the VRC free version, i just picked any car, and started racing on RC Speedway. Tried to work out all the things to make it better, and that was good enough!!
Now they want to make us pay for crap like that?? Nah, I doubt that would sell.

The new vrc pro is going to be subscribtion based. Meaning you lease the game and never own it. You get one generic chassis and one featured chassis. If you want more than that you have to buy it. You can customized your pit area with your favorite brand of rc goodies but again these must be purchased.
Don't get me wrong I love VRC the game. But I see them turning this it a money pit. I think their ultimate goal is create an virtual rc community that no longer races with the real thing. take a look at the cost menu
