1 gallon = 3785.472 ML = 3785.472 cc

Your mileage on the foams will depend a lot on the surface you race on.

So if my tank is 75cc I'll get 50 tanks off of one gallon.

Sounds reasonable

How long would a good set of rubber tires last me? What compound/insert could I use?

If you intend racing you should find out what is being used at the track you intend racing at, no one here knows what is going to work for you. And different cars respond differently.
Go talk face to face with guys at the local track, it's a great sport and whilst those of us that race our toy cars at every opportunity might seem a bit weird (putting cars ahead of the mortgage in some cases) we are always happy to give advice.

Rubber tires? by the time you buy rims, inserts and tires you probably spent twice as much than foams, plus you will get better grip out of foam than rubber. I use Monotuning tires foam tires and i can race 3- 5 min qualifiers and 1 - 20 minute main (at least) in one race weekend with one set of tires. my 2cents.

Thats good to know

I CAN'T afford foams. Its not that I don't want to get them. I can't afford a set of foams afer EVERY race. There is no way I can race nitro unless I get atleast 3-4 race days out of a set of tires...

How long are the mains at your local track?
I posted a link to where you could get foams for cheap.
It's the tires that Marcos is talking about (Monotuning).

I saw those....Even an $20 per race is expensive. I want to be able to get some tires that will last longer even if i get less performance

not to be harsh on you or anything but if you can't even afford foam tires for you car, you are simply not ready to race (at least in nitro)
let's stop discussing this and move on.

Chances are a pair of Foams will last awhile on flat surfaces with a good set of foams. I just bought some monotuning foams and I'm going to try them out compared to rubbers.

Just try 1 pair one time to see if you like it. If you don't at least you know you tried them.

What exactly do you mean by "not ready"

If you mean finanitally, I'm not ready to do ANYTHING in this area but I'm not gonna let that hold me back.

One of the guys at RCRacing I talk to said he got 2 race days with firm rubbers/firm inserts. That sounds better. Especially with the "discount rack" at Sheldon's (My LHS, foams for $6-8 a pair for big races and rubbers pretty cheap too)

Still might want to try a good set of foams.

Usually the bargain racks are filled with the left over stuff. But whatever works. Just realize that there are differences in cheap foams and good foams.

They are TRC's...$7-8 a pair

Nothing wrong with them except for the fact they take like 6mm hex (I got those)
