Is this the correct direction to mount the drilled brake?

Whether it matters or not... two thoughts...

1)Place for the holes to trail away the "cough" brake dust..

2)Alternately vent the holes without trailing to improve cooling,.

You've opted for cooler brakes and that would be my choice... unless you see excessive brake dust.
