I just went through this 10 minutes ago with a new RB v12...

Heat the motor with a hair dryer......leave the plug out till you get fuel in the carb....pop th plug in,tighten till ist a half turn loose...'

as soon as it starts, tighten the plug...

I would think you just need a stronger starter box since It has such good compression the motors in the starter box has to be able to turn over the engine also make sure your glow plug ignitor is fully charged

A more powerful starter box is not required. Do what harry says and you will be fine. Putting some oil in the chamber will also help. The tightness goes away after a few tanks and then they start perfectly. My NS12S3A1 was exactly as you describe.

OK guys, heating the engine helped but I have another problem, I have a cheap duratrax starter box and the ns12s5 is to stong for this box, I had to use my friends old stater box to get the engine going, but he had an old one I dont even know what it was, so my question to you is what starter are you guys using, I need to get another one
