Or Mugen white. those are what I would try.
Thx man, I got MRX5 with both F/R in white spring, its pretty good in the same track. But think about RX8 is heavier than MRX5, this is my worry.

Bought new set Mugen white F/R spring, give it a try later on.

U mean give it more weight transfer at rear with softer spring only?
Keep the original black spring at front?

I was just giving you comparison between Xray and Mugen rear springs for reference, as I have measured them some time ago.
Mugen White rear springs are ~37 lb/in (6.5 N/mm or Xray "C" rating), Grey are 30.5 lb/in (5.34 N/mm). Mugen white fronts are 50 lb/in (8.8 N/mm), Gray fronts are 41.3 lb/in (7.24 N/mm)

Thx!, this is most important, no idea about how heavy of Mugen spring, it only shows the diameter. I will try see hows going on, thx!

BTW, what about the lbs of stock black spring? I think its much heavier than Mugen white.

Im now change the Mugen grey at front and Xray red at rear, the feeling is:
-Front is too heavy
-Rear is ok, but not willing to turn

which is the best spring combination for bumpy road?
If you are saying you dont have enough steering with this combination what about trying the radio plate flex buttons ? As I understand it the theory behind introducing flex is to increase steering.

What springs were the team using during the WC in Miami ? as they seemed to be Red ones on Swuager's car are those genuine Xray ones ? If so are they the same as NT1's ?

Yes at the WC the whole team ran Xray springs. On the front they were the 7.0 springs and on the rear its was the red spring, which is from the old spring kit.

Thanks Drew

When I'm with MRX5, I made it in flex, cornering is good for short time because the flex return to mid position was off.
And its only a little different, just increase the rear weight transfer.

Front springs that come with the kit are 8.0 I think, number is engraved on the coil

i have red and violet xray springs the red's are 1.9 38lb and the violet's are 1.7 28 lb, are these the reds you are referring to, i got these numbers off the paper that came with the kit, i had a whole kit at one time, these were for the touring car, will these work for the 1/8, i sized them up with my mugens they look the same inner diamter, just not sure on the lb's etc? if not does anyone have any part numbers of the right springs to use.. thanks

Let us know how it goes with the shake down. I have our first RX8 almost finished and with the kit setup. At first the car looks very simple but once you build it, you realize there are quite a few things going on setup wise with the car and several setttings that can be used. Car is going together perfectly. We are looking forward to running them soon.
