Lightbulb Nitro TC3 RTR Plus engine Performance Q

Does anyone know how well the stock engine on the NTC3 RTR Plus does? I am about to get it and race with it, so I would like a better engine if the stock is sluggish. Any under $200 recommendations?

the stock engine is rated about 1hp which isnt bad at all. It will be plenty fast enogh while you are learning how to drive and setup the car.

but doesn't the rtr version only accept the rotary type side exhaust engines? I would love to have a rear exhaust engine for the ntc3 rtr plus, but i am not sure if it will work with the pipe and likages. is there some sort of conversion kit for slide carb rear exhaust engines to work on the rtr plus chassis?

that would be awesome if i could put a better engine in the thing to race with, especially a rear exhaust. i was looking at that Mugen MT 12 from nitrohouse.com for $154.99. it looks like a great deal for a mugen/rossi engine. thanks for searching for a pic for me.
