Ralph has been using the SRC Cruzier, Paul has been using the new Protoform body. Alot of driver's seem to like the SRC.

Thanks Drew

SRC is an Italian company. It is also known as the Xceed Chevy. Look online at Nexus or Brooklyn Hobbies.

Thanks Drew

Default NT1 Shock body - Alu vs. Plastic

Hi Drew,

I notice that several pro NT1 drivers (Ralph included) use plastic, aluminum or a combo of the two shock bodies. What info can you share about the differences and driver preference between the two?

I use the aluminum shocks. They work well, but I have a hard time filling/bleeding them so that the rebound and resistance looks/feels similar.

Thanks for any info,
Sam Craig

Yes we have always used the plastic shocks on Ralph's car, Paul tested the alum. and thought they were good but then went back to the plastic. One of the reason is that alum. gets hotter and heats up the oil so it changes the way the shock feels though out the run. And I have noticed that if you build a alum and a plastic with the same oil and piston the alum always feels lighter then the plastic. Yes the plastic shocks are a little easier to build as far as rebound goes.

Hopefully I should be having a shock build video up soon.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Drew
