Actually, I think I finished 5 and 6, gave Nate some wrong info. Was leading races when my car couldn't take the rain and hail any more, yes we were racing and it was hailing, never experienced any thing like it before. To be racing and seeing alot of water coming off the tires and not stopping the race was incredible. It was a great time any way and the people here couldnīt be any nicer. Itīs been a long week, a lot of laps, a couple gallons of fuel, three engines, many tires, and lots of wrenching, and I would do it all again. If anybody ever gets a chance to come a race here in Mexico City donīt miss the chance, you wonīt regret it.

sorry for the late information but today we got a crazy weather on the track, Sunshine, Cloudy , hail, and heavy rain during the mains but the best of all is that this cars handle everything

The results where also crazy but in many ways very positive.

Mike did very well and he won the 1st place best body and race very well under the adverse conditions in both classes

Ivan did very well under the rain and he Won 1st place of the Open Class

We had a wonderful week full of adrenaline and lots of GT racing

Cya in the next one

Here are the complete Results of the event

I like what you said. This is about as scale as it gets. These cars look awsome on the track, the movements are really close to scale and the weather completed the event. I guess you could say like in europe.

I don't think we have the facilities in the states to race a rainy day. I think the most impt. thing to prepare a track fot the weather is a weather proof drivers stand and pits. Most of us don't have this. But it is definitely something to consider.

Again, CONGADULATIONS to my friends Ivan Vazques jr and sr. on a excellent trip and rewarding finish! What a trip huh?
Get to race on an awsome track in Mexico City and win the Open Class.

Congradulations to Victor and all the Mexico Racers on hosting an excellent event where everyone has returned w/ rave reviews of the facility and event!

Chears to all, hope to see you all in Puerto Rico next year!

Mike,

You still did great!!! Two high finishes in two A-mains is nothing to sneeze at. Wow, they race in the race like they do in Europe; I know that was mind-blowing!! Get back home safely and get you gear ready for the October race here in Texas.

I can tell you that Ivan used Novarossi 35+ engine, the chassis was a DM-1 Spec. The body I'm not sure if he used the Ipanema Warrior. His Pipe was from Novarossi Novarossi. Tires I'm not sure but I will find that out and post it.

Novarossi 35+ takes the win AGAIN! 2 years in a row! Congrats to Ivan Jr and Sr; Way to represent! Can't beat Novarossi power and quality in the Open Class.

Racing in the rain and HAIL?! Sounds like a blast. Many congrats to all the winners. I certainly will try hard to join the madness next year. And again, many congrats to Victor and crew for providing a great facility.

I just talked to Ivan Sr. and he told me that they used PMT Tires 30s up front and 20s rear. During the rain soaked main they used PMT Rain Radials. He told me to thank all the racers that attended and specially the Mexicans that where great hosts. Their track was awsome and they had a great time.
