Hobao Hyper 10 tuning problems

can anyone help me sort my car out?
its doing my head in now.
ive just bought it yesterday 2nd hand.
it can start up but not for long.
the lad i had it off has messed with all the carb needles and i have no idea how to sort them out.
its a hyper 12 engine, and the car itself is a hyper 10 pirate touring car.

any help or links to videos to show how to do it would be most appreciated.
thanks in advance guys n girls.

I couldn't find base carb settings for that engine online. I'd try the following.

Set the low speed needle 3.5 turns out from closed, and the high speed needle 3 turns out from closed. That would probably be very rich and if you need to lean them out do so at around 1/8 turns at a time.

Counter clockwise will richen the engine and clockwise will lean the engine.

take it slow, it's a good start though. Generally this what I do to any engine I'm not sure of. I reset it to these settings and start over. Usually it will allow the engine to start and you can go from there.
