Default Looking For a touring car

Hey what do u guys think is a good touring car to get started. I would like something fast, easy to handle, not hard to maintain, etc. I am thinking of the mugen mtx3, ntc3, n4tec, or any other Nitro touring car out there. as for cost I would like the car to be under 1000cdn. And then if other items are needed I will buy thoses

P.S-I think 1000cdn is like 700amr(i think)

Hello R3DRUM,
I personally have the new Serpent 710 and I love it. You can find the kit on Ebay or other stores for about $350-$370.

ya, i have the july 04 issue of Xtreme Rc cars and i saw the serpent 710 and it does look good. is it easy to tune seeing as this will be my first touring car. I have recenetly been in the offroad bashing and thought racing might be fun to. Does it come with everything i need to run it?

You'll still need to get an engine, electronics, starting equipment, etc...(if you don't already have them)
Are you planning to race?

From what I know the TRX 2.5 is an off road engine and will not work with an onroad car. I would suggest you get a Novarossi engine or an STS D3.

If you really want a 710, RC Mushroom has a combo deal for a 710 and a STS D5 engine for $510 US.

If you go with the Serpent or the Mugen, you're going to need to get an engine.
If you go with the TC3, they have an RTR version.
I believe the N4tec is an RTR also.

The $tec is redy to run with the trx 2.5 so i think that the 2.5 can fit it would probably need modification since i think the trx 2.5 in traxxas models. But do u have a link to rc mushroom website? And i think it might be hard to get a mugen mtx3 seeing as it says only 1000 were made unless thats a specila version only. The serpent is looks good, and the ntc3 what do u guys think of that is it any good. But i think i will probaly go to the track see what people are racing and then consult with my lhs. I think i'll get 710 probably, and a really nice .12 or .15

The mugen mtx-3 prospec is the one that only 1000 were produced. It is the version with all the hopups included. I can also tell you that of 1000 produced, 800 came to the USA. It is still available if you wanted to get that car.

The regular mtx-3 is still being produced.

Bottom line is no problem getting either car.
