Here's one for ya, anyone ever put their reciever next to the throttle servo?

Although this is not my car, my buddy and I found the 710 reciever mount to be good for making a custom mount. This one is on a 950R, placed next to the steering servo, but for mine the 950 radio plate I put it next to the throttle servo.

Man, why did you have to show me that. I've alraedy got my radio plate built and I really didn't like the idea of having the reciever next to the exhaust. Now I've gotta go and take it all apart to move the reciever. JK, though that is probably something I would do in the future. How does it affect the balance of the car? Any noticable driving changes?

To me, I have changed to put receiver left and right before .....To be honest , I did not feel any difference ..the lap tims is the same........ ... I 'm now using at left side again .. I feel confortable with the receiver is inside and under radio plate.

Default Brace Locations in Body?

I bought the Racer's Choice Lola VDS and it came with some plastic braces. Where do you put them in the body? Someone got some pics?

We just didn't like the location. Too close to the fuel tank and easier access.

When the 950 came out a lot of guys were having glitching problems with the receiver in the stock location. They moved it over to the location Tom shows and the problem went away.

Hey guys, here is another idea I got off the Ashford Hobby site. Let me just say you could not find a nicer more helpful guy in Robert Poage at ashford, very knowlegdeable and has no problem sharing it. I'll just post the link because it is such a long detailed. I did it to my receiver and though it did take some time to do right, it's now as close to spill proof as can be.

On to another subject now. I fitted my wheels for the first time last night and noticed the tie-rods contact the inner edge of the wheel/tire. What should I trim, the wheels or the tie-rods?

Thanks

Thanks for the idea.
Close to mid-bearing and pipe will make gliching can occur easier.
Make sense, once the bearing jam... the outer ball race will spin on housing, that could be the major problem.
