Anyway, now I know the checkpoint.

With full rear tire 75-77(35R) do you feel the car handles consistantly throughout 45 min. mains ?
From 77mm, I feel the car is a bit understeer and 2 speed a bit late and like the car is very heavy...until 75mm ...is just good enough but the best is when the tire size = 73 .... I like to run this tire size ......but after the tire size is below 70 .. I felt the car was not able to brake hard ...like want to throw one side under braking.

You may need to compromise to get the best performance through out the main. like ...early of the main .... try to drive consistently until you feel confortablet to attack... main is so long ....no need to attack from the first min...

but I still can not do so ..

From 1st min, I always want to go fast already ...that y I seldom finish the final ....I think about a few time only that I finished the main ...

The only reason mugen always wins is because Mugen has better drivers and Serpent has Shity drivers. I guarantee if you give a 950r to Mike Swauger he will still win because he is a awsome driver. "It's no the car it's the driver"

Huh ..!! I don't think so after I watched the winternat DVD .. I only believed his 1/10 was fast but his 1/8 was just fast enough but other people were faster than him for 1/8. But he was good enough to win but not for sure .

Yes, that's my feeling too. He was fast in 1/10th scale but in 1/8th scale, he was not fast but good enough to stay out longer in the main and benefitted from other driver's misfortunes.

The internal ratio is Rear Pulley/Drive Pulley ... Normally 950 come with Rear Pulley 50T and Drive Pulley 22T

So internal ratio 50/22 = 2.272
But If you change the rear pully to use 51T .. Internal Ratio is 51/22 = 2.318

So you see at Rear Pulley ...what pulley you using ... then see what gear are u using ...then you will know what is ur gear ratio.

The same ratio, the bigger tire size will give you more top speed but less acceleration. It mean you have to match the top speed and acceleration. Most of the time, It depend on track.

hi Mr Chan,

I see most of people have two sup gear sets and they would change the gear ratio when the tyre wear down. does it mean they can improve the top end even smaller size tye is used ?

From what I understand
Overdrive = 1 mean Front and rear drive are equal.

Normally, I will run about 1.

How to see this , See your rear pulley and side pulley ...

Let say you using 50T Rear Pulley and 25T Side Pulley ....Normally I will run 6 mm diff.So If i run rear 75mm, I run front 69mm

51T, I will run 7mm diff

From here you will know what overdrive you like to drive ..difference driver will like a difference overdrive ...

After you know what is overdrive you like, You go back to see the gear ratio ...It's combination

Example :

Your rear pulley is 50T, Side Pulley is 25 ..Rear Tire 75 ... Front tire 69.. So the over drive is 0.4 .

Yes ...

Let say you r using 1st Sp 49T with tire size 77.. U feel you can got enough accelaration at 1st gear but after tire size become 74..you feel like your car come out from corner ...and always spin ... It means you got too much accelaration and top speed for 1st have ended very fast ... u may need to change the 1st gear to 48T and to get more top speed with this size of tire
