Default Need a new car but which!

been away for some time.. Have a serpent 710 with a mugen x-12 engine. I have a couple of friends who want to get into the hobby! i remember when there were quality RTR kits now all i really find is one (rs4 3 evo+) we are looking for a car that can be turned into a racer. i want to get the same car as they do so i can help them with the issues and we can upgrade at the same time so that is why i want to make sure its something that is repectable.

any suggestions?

thanks in advance

Have a look at the NT1R, not exactly RTR but good value for money, and can be upgraded very easily.

I just took the plunge and bought an NT1R as my first nitro TC. I think I made a good decision. Kit is complete, good instrcutions, parts were extremely high quality and the build has gone without a hitch.

If the car runs half as good as it went together, it should be an awesome ride!

As far as a RTR touring car goes I would suggest the NTC3. Competitive out or the box and completely adjustable. The RS4 doesn't even have adjustable turnbuckles and has a high center of gravity. Parts for the NTC3 are cheep and readily available just about anywhere. The gas tank alone on an NT1 is like 55 bucks I'm told. People will tell you it's outdated/cheep but theres a guy here who can pull one out of the box, set it up, and place 3rd in an Open class amongst pros and sponsored racers. For what it is your trying to do I think the NTC3 will suit your needs the best.

just get a 733 or nt1, since your not racing competitively a cheap motor like a novarossi n12t1 is good enough.

any of the rtr kits you buy you'll just end up regretting, the servo's are shit the radio is shit the motor is shit

keep an eye out in the for sale section, people are always changing from mugen to xray to team magic then back again so theres always something for sale lol:

The team magic g4s is a good rtr with specs mostly based on the "pro" version. You can upgrade it to a full race version easily too.
